Metal sculpture

These are some metal sample pieces that I have used to make my sample pieces, the goldish colour metal is called copper and the silver metal is called aluminiam. There both small squares and the copper is alot harder than the aluminum and when you heat the copper it becomes alot softer and easier to bend and make somthing out of it. These are my final sample pieces, I used different materials to make the shapes and patterns on the metals, i also poked holes through the metal.

These are lines of strips of copper that I cut up to turn them into a final piece. Then I used other materials to get a different feeling of how it might feel when you put circles in them and letters and small holes.

This is my final metal sculpture that I made by bending each of the copper strips of metal and then stuck it in place, making the form of the flower.

This is another picture of the sculpture but in a different angel which shows the forms of the sculpture.

Drawings of shells with pencils

These are drawing of shells and the shells on the side. I took pictures of each of the shells that I was using to draw them. I first started to draw the outlines of each shape and then added on the detail of the shells and later I started to add some tone in some of the areas to make the drawings look more of a 3D form. These drawings of shells are on a A2 piece of paper.

Black and white self-portrait painting

This is a portrait of me in black and white. It was done in my visual studies lesson. I basically got a black and white photocopy of me and drew a 2cm by 2cm grid on a A4 sized paper. Then I used black and white paint to start painting on the image with a small brush.

Then I slowly started to paint in the detail, and the tone of colors by using a small brush and mixing the black and white paint to get different shades of greys to match the tonal areas of the image.

And finally toward the end I took up closer picture of my face that I painted on and you can see the texture of the small brush that I used and also a rough brush.

Clay sculpture

Sample square piece with different patterns and holes.
Final clay piece, showing some sort of the end of a plant, its very detailed marks and patterns showing to also show some texture.
This is the inside of the final clay piece with a hole in the end, this also shows a lot of detail patterns inside and looks very rough and shows texture.

These are the clay samples after they've been in the hot oven. They are very hard and also changed colour to a lighter grey. I like the way that curved corner looks because its like a 3D form and it looks good. This picture below show how the whole of the square shaped sample.
These are images of the final clay sculpture taken in different positions to show how they look after the hot oven, you can see that the sculpture has changed colour from a hard red to a light redish colour. On each of the images you can see that there is alot of detail on the sculpture and different marks done with the clay tools.
